Kristina Koenig, PT, DPT

Kristina Koenig, PT, DPT was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. It was there that she learned to love everything outdoors and participated in several sports. She graduated with her Bachelor’s of Arts in Communications and Human Health in 2008. Knowing she wanted to help people, but unsure how, she spent 4 years in Aspen, CO and Vail, CO ski bumming, raft guiding, and playing hard in the mountains while deciding. She became interested in sports medicine after tearing her ACL and decided to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She moved to Boulder and completed all of her required courses at the University of Colorado, before completing her DPT in Manchester, NH. Among Kristina’s professional passions are Equine Therapy (known as Hippotherapy) for children, manual therapy, sports medicine, and enhancing and improving performance for athletes. Kristina is a new resident of Leadville and looks forward to rapidly becoming part of her community. She enjoys the outdoors, laughing, and her dogs, Nyla and Anya.
